Spirals Again
White Box Six Point Two is one of a series of works in landscape format contained in a glossy white box. Each of these pieces is lit by LED strips, powered by a lithium polymer battery. In order to preserve battery life the lights are operated by a sensor that only turns on when somebody stands in front of it.
This is a variation on a previous box called White Box Six. What you get here is the appearance of spirals, although in truth each layer simply contains an arrangement of circles. As you go back through the work the circles get smaller and each layer is offset so that the edges of circles line up. The point where they line up is then twisted through sixty degrees from layer to layer.
